IN THE STUDIO

A quiet space to be still, reflect, and reconnect with God in the midst of real life.

FAITH. PERSPECTIVE. RENEWAL.

A BRIGHTER TOMORROW.

SEPTEMBER 10, 2026
IN THE STUDIO

In The Studio

“Sometimes we need to step away from the noise long enough to hear our own hearts again.”

There are times when I don’t want an agenda. I don’t need another list, another meeting, or one more thing to accomplish. I simply need a place to sit, rest, become quiet before God—and exhale.

That is what In the Studio has become for me. It is a place where I can put aside what needs my attention and simply be still. I can pray, think, listen, write if I choose—or do nothing at all. I’ve discovered that sometimes doing nothing creates room for something far more important. It creates room to hear.

There are times in Scripture when Jesus withdrew to solitary places. We aren’t always told what happened there, but we know He intentionally made room to get away.

What happens when you take a pause from the regular routine of life and make room for yourself.  No agenda, no phone calls or anything else that interrupts your time.  For me, that is part of what it means to exhale.

Maybe your exhale looks different. Perhaps you need to release something you’ve carried too long, find clarity for a decision, regain strength, or simply have a few moments when nobody needs anything from you.

Whatever this season holds, I hope In the Studio reminds you to make room for those moments.

I believe God still gives fresh manna—perspective, wisdom, encouragement, and truth for where we are right now. Some of what I receive in the Studio will be personal. At other times, I believe He will give me something meant to be shared.

That’s why I’m opening the Studio door. Not because I have all the answers. I’m still listening, learning, believing, and trusting God too.

And perhaps somewhere in these conversations, something He is showing me will encourage you, strengthen your faith, or help you hear what He has been whispering to your own heart.

The Studio door is open. Come back soon.

I believe we have much more to talk about.

“Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is be still and let God work.”

A QUIET MOMENT

Before you move on to whatever is waiting for you today, give yourself permission to exhale.

No agenda. No pressure to figure everything out.

Just become still and ask:

“Lord, what are You inviting me to see in this season?”

The answer may not come immediately-and perhaps that isn’t the point. Sometimes the gift is simply remembering that we can become still in the presence of God.

PAUSE

Step away from the noise.

REFLECT

Give yourself the space to be still.

RECEIVE

Let God fill what feels empty.

EXHALE

Release. Rest. Renew.
SOMETIMES THE NEXT STEP BEGINS BY BECOMING STILL.

LET'S KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING

If you’d like to know when a new In the Studio conversation is waiting for you, I’d love to stay connected.
